SRINAGAR: Srinagarites, on Monday, woke up to a rainy morning with the minimum temperature dipping to 7.5 degrees celsius, a weather official said.
The total rainfall recorded in Srinagar since yesterday evening till Monday morning was 5.2 mm. Qazigund recorded a rainfall of 4.4 mm, Pahalgam-9.2 mm, Kupwara-19.4 mm, Kukernag-3.6 mm, Banihal-11.2 mm, and Gulmarg received a mixed rain and snow of 13.6 mm.
Further, the MeT department has predicted further light to moderate rainfall for the day across Jammu and Kashmir.
Relative humidity in Srinagar on Monday morning was 90%.
Meanwhile, the Jammu-Srinagar national highway will be open today for two way traffic.
Light as well as heavy motor vehicles will be allowed to ply from Srinagar towards Jammu. However, heavy vehicles are allowed to cross Qazigund till 1pm while as only light motor vehicles are allowed to travel from Jammu towards Srinagar and need to cross the Nagrota checkpoint till 12 pm, as per the Traffic Control officials.
