NIT Row: KU students protest against Kashmiri students harassed outside Kashmir

Kashmir University Protest

SRINAGAR: Kashmir University students, on Monday, took out a solidarity march for the Kashmiri students studying in various colleges outside Jammu and Kashmir.

Around 400 students assembled outside the Humanities block at the varsity and raised slogans to condemn the attack on Kashmiri students outside the state.

The protesting students also raised pro-azadi slogans.

Meanwhile, non-local NIT students have resorted to chant “Bharat Mata ki jai” at the gate of the institution.

This comes after Kashmiri students were thrashed in different parts of India following group clashes between local and non-local engineering students at National Institute of Technology Srinagar over the recent cricket match between India and West Indies.
