KCCI questions govt’s silence over Jammu incident

SRINAGAR: Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) questioned the government’s silence over the harassment of Kashmiri students in Jammu engineering colleges.
“The keen interest taken by Dr. Nirmal Singh, the Deputy Chief Minister, Jammu & Kashmir Government with regard to sorting out the problem of NIT Srinagar and at the same time adopting a quiet attitude viz-a-viz harassment caused to Kashmiri students at Jammu professional institutes is baffling and if the things are allowed to unfold in the manner reported in the press, it will have repercussion felt all over causing great harm to the peace and economy of the state as a whole,” KCCI president Mushtaq Ahmad Wani said in a statement.
