Pulwama: Protesters set police vehicle on fire

Pulwama: Protesters on Thursday set ablaze police vehicle after the death of two Hizbul Mujahideen militants in gunfight with government forces in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

According to the eyewitness, angry youths first hijacked one BP banker vehicle and later set it on fire at Karimabad crossing in Pulwama district.

This comes after the death of two Hizbul Mujahideen commanders Naseer Ahmad Pandit son of Ghulam Rasool Pandit resident of Kareemabad, Pulwama and Wasim Ahmad Malla alias Rizwan son of Mohd Iqbal Malla resident of Pahilpora Shopian during a brief gunfight with forces in at Vihil village in Shopian district.

Meanwhile, militants,on motorbike, gave gun salutes to the slain commander Naseer Pandit on Thursday.
