Srinagar: Telecom player Aircel on Wednesday organised a bike rally here to create awareness on traffic safety by adhering to traffic rules, a statement issued by the company here said.
The statement added that Aircel distributors and retailers participated in the event. “This not only cements the trust that the trade community has on Aircel, but also exhibits their commitment to the betterment of the society by prophesying the need to adhere to traffic rules and regulations and thereby leading to traffic safety norms being followed,” said the statement. “Through this bike rally, Aircel 3G products and services for Srinagar were also promoted and showcased.”
The rally was flagged off by the SSP Traffic, Maqsood-Ul-Zaman and Regional Manager- Aircel, North, Dr. Harish Sharma.
Maqsood expressed his pleasure that Aircel along with its trade partners takes matters in regards to the betterment of society in a whole, seriously.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sharma said: “Besides showcasing our unique 3G products and services to the citizens of Srinagar, we are also stressing the need to follow traffic rules and regulations”.
His sentiments were further emphasized by Circle Business Head, Aircel Jammu and Kashmir, Prashant Ramesh Chaudhari who expressed his gratitude to the members of Aircel’s trade community for working closely with the Aircel towards the progress of the company and the betterment of society.
Shabir Ahmed Sofi, a distributor with Aircel said: “I am extremely proud to be a part of this rally. At Aircel, we always support each other and the camaraderie each one of us share goes beyond the usual business relationships to something more; like being members of the same family”.
