Gunfight started in Dardpora Kupwara

KUPWARA:A gunfight broke out between government forces and a group of militants at Dardpora area of Lolab in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday.
Army’s Srinagar based spokesperson Lt Col Manish told Kashmir reader that army’s 28 RR cordoned off the forest area near Jindyal hamlet of village Dardpora in the frontier district following specific information about the presence of some militants. the army fired several warning shorts towards the suspected area,added that militants hiding in the area also opened fire towards the forces, resulting an encounter.
He further said that we are collecting the details and quantity of militants, “yes firing started in Lolab valley, and we are collecting more details” Manish told Kashmir Reader.
When reports last came in, the gunfight was going on in the area.
