Pampore: Thirteen police personnel including two high rank officers were injured after a group of miscreants at Khrew village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district attacked a police vehicle on Friday evening.
“On Friday evening thirteen police personnel including two high rank officers were injured after a police vehicle was attacked by some miscreants,” a police official said.
He said people also tried to attack a local police post forcing them to resort to teargas shelling. “Three miscreants were arrested and they would be booked for vitiating law and order situation in the area,” he said.
Later, higher police officials reached the spot to assess the situation.
The industrial belt is tense from last one month after a rival truck union Al-Khuddam was floated by the residents of Nagandar, Satpukhran, and Zantrag areas of Pampore.
The miscreants from the said village had damaged some trucks of State Road Transport Corporation on Thursday.
