Rifle stolen from shop in Jammu

JAMMU: A 12 bore rifle was reportedly stolen from an armoury shop on city outskirts of Jammu, police said on Sunday.
“A woman lodged a complaint this morning that one 12 bore rifle was stolen from an armoury shop was being run by her in Gadigarh area of South Jammu,” a police official said.
He said according to the complainant the shop was closed for the last one year due to expiry of the license and she had applied for its renewal.
“There were four weapons in the shop and only one was stolen,” he said, adding that police is investigating the matter to ascertain the facts.
