Govt appoints 18 law officers

SRINAGAR: The governor administration on Tuesday appointed advocate N A Beigh as senior additional advocate general (AAG) and 17 others as law officers.
According to a government order, advocates Nisar Hussain Shah, Reyaz Ahmad Khan, Shahbaz Sikandar, Majid Aftab Wani, Mohammad Iqbal Dar and Moksha Qazmi have been appointed additional advocate generals.
Advocates Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Reshi, Syed Sajjad Geelani, Sajjad Mir, Shah Aamir, Qazi Rashid Shamas, Tufail Qadri, have been appointed deputy advocate generals while Sajad Mohi-ud-Din, Javid Sathu, Tariq Ahmad Lone, Hakeem Amaan Ali and Asif Maqbool has been appointed government advocates.
At the same time, the government accepted resignation of Shahvar Gowhar (additional advocate general), and deputy advocate generals Manzoor Ahmad Sheikh, Irfan Andleeb, and Khalid Hameed.
Besides, it accepted resignation of government advocates including Danish Mufti, Owais Geelani, Shazia Shahnaz, and Anees-ul-lslam.
