SRINAGAR: United Jihad Council (UJC), an amalgam of various militant organisations operative in Kashmir, on Monday announced bravery award ‘Hilal-e-Shuja’at’ for three militants killed in the gunfight at Pampore with the government forces, a local news agency CNS reported.
The agency quoted Syed Sadaqat Hussain, a spokesperson of the outfit, as saying that “UJC’s chief Syed Salahuddin convened a special meeting to pay tribute to the three slain militants and lauded their role.”
He said, “India should read clear writing on the wall. The attacks on Indian forces will be intensified and our men will continue to target Indian establishments.”
The outfit has thanked the people of Kashmir, especially the residents of Pampore, for “expressing solidarity and standing by them (militants) during the gunfight”.
