KUPWARA: Additional District Development Commissioner Kupwara on Monday convened a DLRAC meeting of Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) Kupwara.
The Director RSETI briefed the meeting about the implementation of various programmes being run by the RESTI besides presenting details of trainings being imparted to the candidates in different skills.
It was informed that 2 training programmes were conducted in which 55 females were imparted training in crewel and Tilla Dozi. The 38 candidates were settled with earnings while 4 candidates have been linked with MUDRA/DRI scheme.
Under PMEGP and Bee keeping, 63 candidates were imparted training by KVIC and Agriculture. The 32 candidates have started their ventures with financial assistance from banks while 25 have set up their ventures with their own funds.
The ADDC stressed on the need of coordination between the sponsoring agencies and RSETI for maximum coverage of candidates for self employment.
Meanwhile, a monitoring team headed by SDM Sogam with Social Welfare Officer as member was constituted for identification of beneficiaries and selection of result oriented trade, skill and marketing facilities.
