SRINAGAR: Kashmir University Teachers Association (KUTA) on Friday expressed concern over the “victimisation and harassment” of Kashmiri students studying in the universities outside the state.
“KUTA convened a meeting of its executive body and deliberated upon the burning issue of victimisation and harassment of Kashmiri students perusing studies outside the state, and condemns such unacceptable acts which can cost the career of thousands of Kashmiri students,” a KUTA spokesman said in a statement issued here.
He said KUTA believed in freedom of expression, particularly in institutions of higher learning.
The body also condemned the killing of two civilians at Pulwama on Sunday.
