Clashes in old City over Pulwama killings, JNU issue

Srinagar: Clashes erupted soon after the Friday prayers at historic Jamia Masjid on Friday against the civilian killings in Pulwama and sedition charges against the JNU students in New Delhi.
A group of youth carrying posters of Afzal Guru and messages like ‘Thank you JNU’, shouted pro-freedom slogans and clashed with forces near the historic Jamia Masjid.
The forces fired several tear-smoke canisters to disperse the protesters, a police official told Kashmir Reader.
