Srinagar: Governor N N Vohra on Wednesday said the responsibility of the administration has increased in the absence of an elected government and urged officials to provide “clean and efficient services” to the people.
“You are all senior and experienced functionaries and have increased responsibilities when an elected government is not in place. “Services to people are to be improved on a priority basis. I do not need to tell and I do not want to tell you.
What I need is better results on the ground from all of you,” he said.
He said that concrete steps should be taken by the administration regarding the effective redressal of grievances.
The Governor also desired that accountability should be fixed at all levels to ensure that the problems of the people are solved in a time-bound manner.
