Geelani’s health improving, says Hurriyat (G)

Srinagar: Chairman Hurriyat Conference (G), Syed Ali Geelani is undergoing a detailed medical treatment in New Delhi and his health condition is now stable, a spokesman of the amalgam, Ayaz Akbar said on Tuesday.
In a statement issued here, Akbar said the prominent chest specialist Dr Vikram Sarabhai conducted a detailed check-up of Syed Ali Geelani at Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon (Haryana) and suggested some additional medicines.
“PFT and other medical examinations have been conducted so far and some other important tests are undergoing,” he said, adding, Geelani’s personal secretary, Peer Saifullah and his son Naseem Geelani are staying with him.
He said Geelani is quite stable now and is feeling better due to warm change in New Delhi. “Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi and Deputy HC Abdul Rehman Nizamani are continuously in touch with Geelani sahab and are repeatedly enquiring about his health condition,” Akbar said.
Meanwhile, Syed Ali Geelani in a statement from New Delhi, expressed grief over the demise of Khursheed Ahmad who happens to be the nephew of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat general secretary and acting chairman, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai.
Praying for the departed soul, Geelani said we equally share the grief of the affected family and pray to Almighty Allah to grant them patience to bear this great loss.
