Jihad Council pays tribute to Raqib

SRINAGAR: United Jihad Council (UJC) chief, Syed Salah-ud-Din, on Monday paid tributes to special police officer-turned-militant, Raqib Bashir, who was killed in an encounter at Gundpora village of Pulwama district on Saturday.
He also supported the shutdown call given by the pro-freedom leaders on February 9 and 11.
In a statement issued to a local news agency, Salah-ud-din described Muhammad Maqbool Bhat and Muhammad Afzal Guru as the “light of freedom candle”.
He said they live in the hearts of people and no plan to “sabotage the freedom struggle” would work in Kashmir.
