Road mishap injures 7 persons in Pulwama

IMG-20160208-WA0001PULWAMA: Seven persons including five Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel of 182 Battalion were critically injured in road accident in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday morning.

Station House Officer (SHO) Pulwama, Masood Jeelani told Kashmir Reader that seven persons including five CRPF personnel were injured in a head-on collision between truck bearing registration number JK 22-3837 and a CRPF vehicle bearing registration number APIIX-2341 near Gadoora Bridge in Pulwama on Monday morning.

Five injured persons identified as ASI Loak Chand, Constable Sunil Sarkar, ASI Negi and a driver Aungat from 182 Battalion of CRPF and a constable Aijaz Ahmad of Pulwama Police Station. The identification of the other two, however, is yet to be ascertained, he said.

All the injured were referred to District Hospital Pulwama for initial treatment and later shifted to Sheri-e Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura for further treatment.
