Pathankot attack: No evidence against Jaish-e-Mohammad, concludes Pak Panel

Srinagar: The recent development in the investigation of the Pathankot attack on an Indian airbase, last month, the Pakistan’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) has, on Monday, concluded that there is no solid proof to suggest Jaish-e-Muhammad Chief Maulana Masood Azhar was mastermind behind the attack, a national daily has reported Monday evening.
The investigating team was formed by Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif after India claimed to have found role of Jaish-e-Mohammad men while intercepting the mobile communication between the attackers and their alleged handlers in Pakistan by the spy agencies.
On January 2, six gunmen attacked the Indian Air Force base in Pathankot leading to death of seven soldiers.
