Srinagar: Assar Cricket Club (ACC) beat National Institute of Technology (NIT) Haratbal by 56 runs in the summit clash of “Karwan-i-Aman” cricket tournament on Thursday played at Srinagar.
Batting first ACC put a formidable total of 164 on the board in their 20 overs. Middle order batsman Din Mohammad was the successful batsman scoring run a ball 58.
In reply NIT Hazratbal was never in the hunt as they lost wickets at regular intervals and the entire team was bundled out for 108 runs.
Din Mohammad of ACC for his all-round performance was adjudged man of the match while Moin-ul-Islam of NITs was declared man of the series.
The prizes were distributed by Officiating DIG of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) K Ranjit who was the chief guest on the prize distribution ceremony gave away the prizes. Commandant SSB 47 Bn Subramaniam was also present on the occasion.
The tournament was organised by (SSB) 47th Bn under the Civil Action programme in which five teams participated.
