Srinagar: Pro-freedom leaders on Sunday paid tribute to three slain Lashkar-e-Toyiba militants who were killed in Dardpora village of Kupwara district during an operation that started on Friday.
Chairman Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabir Ahmad Shah, while paying tribute, reiterated the pledge of taking forward the mission of martyrs.
Paying tribute, a spokesperson of Muslim Deeni Mahaz (MDM), in a statement issued here, said, “The death of these guest mujahedeen proves that Kashmiri people are not alone in their struggle and entire Ummah especially Pakistan is with us. No such place exists in Kashmir where these guest mujahedeen have not shed their pious blood.”
Saluting the pro-freedom sentiment of Kupwara people, he said “Some Mir Jaffars and Mir Sadiqs of our times used to say that people of Kupwara have moved away from the movement. The zeal shown by people in the funeral of these mujahedeen has dispelled those apprehensions.”
