SRINAGAR: Governor N N Vohra has expressed grief over the sad demise of Gen KV Krishna Rao, former Governor of Jammu & Kashmir.
In his condolence message, the governor has conveyed his sympathies to the members of the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and Member Parliament, Mehbooba Mufti expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise away of Gen (Retd) K V Krishna Rao, former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.
Mehbooba has conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the peace of the departed soul, said a statement.
Meanwhile, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah and Working President Omar Abdullah have expressed grief over the passing away of General K V Krishna Rao.

A former Army Chief, Gen Rao served as the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Nagaland, Manipur and Tripura.
He was governor of Jammu and Kashmir for the first time from July 11, 1989 to January 19, 1990 and the second time from March 13, 1993 till May 2, 1998.
