Bandipora: A patient was shown the door by the staff at Bandipora hospital on Monday.
The patient (name withheld) had gone for a check up to the hospital. But the staff asked him to visit after five days, as the doctor who had seen him last wasn’t available.
“I had been asked to take out X-Ray by a doctor, and revisit. Today I went to the hospital with the X-Ray, but the doctor wasn’t available. So, I, due to intense pain, went to a different doctor’s chamber, but his staff forced me to leave,” the patient told Kashmir Reader.
The patient said he returned home without treatment. When contacted, the medical superintendent concerned, Dr Bilques, termed the incident as “unfortunate”. “I will talk to the doctor and assistant,” she said.
The chief medical officer concerned, Bashir Malik, however, said, ““I have other things to look into. Don’t talk about human issues. It is Kashmiri behaviour, I cannot help it.”
