NC disfigured JK’s Muslim character in lieu of power: Hizb

SRINAGAR: Describing the ruling National Conference as “power hungry,” Hizbul Mujahideen on Monday said that “to satiate the lust of power its leaders disfigured the Muslim character of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Hizb chief, Syed Salah-ud-din castigated NC leader Dr Shiekh Mustafa Kamal for targeting Jama’at-e-Islami and said that NC left no stone unturned to sink the boat of Kashmir people,” a local news agency, CNS, reported.
“The family of Kamal is responsible for the miseries of Kashmiri people and in order to grab the power, his family disfigured the Muslim character of the National Conference and handed its reigns to non-Muslims,” Salah-ud-din said.
Urging people to boycott the forthcoming parliamentary elections, Salah-ud-din said that “the incidents like the execution of Mohammad Afzal Guru and rape of innocent women by personnel of Indian Army indicate that all Indian agencies are hand in glove to inflict maximum humiliation on Kashmiri people.”
“There are scores of instance which amply proves that Government of India, its Army and Judiciary are hand in glove. Guru was hanged to appease Hindu zealots while the death sentence of Davinder Singh Bullar was commuted,” Hizb chief said, adding “In Kupwara, the chastity of an innocent woman was outraged. These incidents are eye-opener for us and people of Kashmir must abstain from the electoral exercise.”
He said that “Kashmir freedom struggle” would continue.
“Those who backtracked from the freedom movement would finally repent and regret,” Salah-ud-din said.
