Dal Khalsa delegation visits ailing Geelani

SRINAGAR: A delegation of Dal Khalsa Punjab Wednesday called on ailing Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani in New-Delhi and wished him speedy recovery.
The five-member delegation led by Kanwar Pal Singh also hailed Geelani’s “fearless and unambiguous stand on Kashmir,” a spokesman for the Hurriyat faction said in a statement.
“ The Dal Khalsa leaders said that Geelani’s stand was a source of inspiration and encouragement for
for the Sikh community which too is fighting for its rights,” the statement said.
“The delegation also wished Geelani speedy recovery and said that the Sikh community respects and salutes the Kashmiri leader for his boldness,” the statement added.
The delegation, which spent about an hour with Geelani, discussed the present situation of Kashmir and the behavior and attitude of Indian government towards the minorities.
