Baramulla: The armies of India and Pakistan Tuesday exchanged sweets at the Kaman Post along the Line Of Control (LoC) in Uri sector here on the occasion of Holi festival.
Around noon, a senior Pakistan army officer visited the zero point along the LoC and handed over sweets to his counterpart on the occasion of Holi, officials told Kashmir Reader Tuesday. The officers exchanged greetings before returning to their respective sides. The Pak army officer was also handed over a box of sweets before he returned.
“On Eid, we had gifted sweets to the Pakistan army. Today, we again exchanged greetings and sweets on the festival of Holi,” General officer in command (GOC) General Anil Chauhan told Kashmir Reader.
He said that the LoC has been calm for sometime due to the adherence of the ceasefire agreement by both sides.
