Srinagar: Senior Congress leader and Health Minister Taj Mohi-u-Din was Thursday all praises for the ruling coalition’s “up-to-mark” performance in dealing with the situation arising out of heavy snowfall across Kashmir valley.
“Despite heavy snowfall, electricity across Kashmir Valley was restored within just eight hours which is not possible in even United State of America,” Taj was quoted as saying by a local news agency CNS.
“In dealing with snow furry, Kashmir is more advanced that America. If Americans would witness such a heavy snowfall, there will be power breakdown for at least a week, but in Kashmir our government performed up to the mark and restored electricity within 8 hours,”, Taj said.
He said that it was not fair to criticize the government when it worked “so hard to restore electricity and clear the roads.”
“I myself visited several areas and was satisfied the way government performed its job,” he said.
