SRINAGAR: Government has found an appointment order in Horticulture Department as fake and has recommended investigation by Crime Branch of Police.
Official sources told Kashmir Reader that Under Secretary GAD on Monday sent a communication to Director, Horticulture, Jammu regarding the ‘fake appointment’ of Pardeep Singh Baju, son of Harnam Singh Baju, of Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu in district cadre Jammu in the Horticulture Department.
“The (Under Secretary) is directed to refer the Commissioner/ Secretary to Government, Agriculture Production Department to his 0 M No. Agri/Horti/34/2014 dated.18.02.2014, to inform that the engagement (Order No. 94-GAD of 2014 dated.27.01.2014) issued under endorsement (No. GAD (Estt) A-/1323-27 dated 27.01.2014) has not been issued by the GAD and the order is fake / fraud.”
The matter, the officer said, may be taken up with the Inspector General of Police (Crime) J&K, Jammu for registering a case against the beneficiary under intimation to GAD.
Last year, the government had sounded an alarm bell to all departments on the fake appointments in different departments.
The government had asked all Administrative Secretaries/Heads of Department/Divisional Commissioners/Deputy Commissioners to accept appointment orders only after proper verification.
