SRINAGAR: 18 people including five policemen were injured in separate road mishaps across the valley, police said on Saturday.
Eight persons were injured when a Scorpio (Jk05B/3982) they were travelling in, skidded off the road and fell into the river Jehlum at Nowshera, Uri. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment, a police spokesman said.
A Tata mobile( Jk05A/7089) hit and injured a pedestrian Kaleem-u-Din Khan, a resident of Rajouri, in Kunzar, Baramulla. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
In another accident, a Maruti car( Jk0101F/0196) was hit by an unknown vehicle at Darend, Ganderbal, resulting in injuries to three persons who were travelling in it. A truck collided with a Police Rakshak vehicle at Bemina, resulting in injuries to five policemen and conductor of the truck.
