30 kgs of narcotics seized from arrested drug peddler: police

Srinagar: Over 30 kilograms of narcotic substance were seized from a house in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district and an alleged drug peddler was arrested in this connection, police said on Sunday.
Acting on a tip off, a police party raided the house of Muzaffar Ahmad Hajam in village Larve Kakapora and seized 19 kg of bung patri, 11 kg of poppy straw and 950 gm of charas powder, a police spokesman said.
The house owner was arrested and a case under the NDPS Act registered against him, police said.
