BUDGAM: Director Agriculture Peerzada Mushtaq Ahmad Wednesday inaugurated an Agriculture Business Centre here.
Interacting with the farmers on the occasion, Peerzada said that machinery shall be made available to farmers on hire basis, enabling them to curtail the labour component by use of farm mechanization so that agricultural economy gets boost.
Giving the details of achievements registered by Agriculture Department in the district, he said that 20 Polygreen Houses, two pack houses were set up for vegetable growers in view of the lead taken by the district in vegetable production earning Rs 150 crore in export of vegetables whileas Rs 4.35 crore were earned in domestic consumption.
